International company MoneyGram has expanded its service capabilities of online money transfers to UK residents. The company continues to automate and enhance MoneyGram Money transfer platform of MoneyGram will be integrated with the mobile platform LinqUs, which will allow customers to make international transfers with a mobile phone. MoneyGram completed the acquisition of MoneyCard World Express, S.A. (MoneyCard) and Cambios Sol, S.A., two money transfer super-agents located in Spain. MoneyGram launched a new in-person bill payment service which will be delivered through agents in their domestic network, giving consumers an easy, low-cost method to pay their bills. Commission income on remittances and other revenues of MoneyGram in the 2nd quarter 2012 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year and 13% in the base currency.
