The company is one of leaders in the market of the international remittances. Western Union has several divisions, with products such as person-to-person money transfer, money orders, business payments and commercial services. One of the common kinds of money transfer is a transfer via the international system of Western Union. To obtain the Golden card can any client of Western Union, committing money transfers on this system more than 1 time per year. Getting the card is issued at the time of making of the next transfer. In 1914 Western Union engineers invented the first payment card - a prototype of the modern credit card. Sibley, the founder of Western Union, did not build a new telegraph lines, and persuaded the other players to join. American Telegraph Company, however, still had to buy it.
