In the Western Union in the 30s of the 20th century worked 14 thousand couriers delivering telegrams. Western Union offers one of the easiest ways for families and friends to send money and stay connected almost anywhere in the world. In 1933, by the Western Union Company were invented "singing telegrams". In 1914 Western Union engineers invented the first payment card - a prototype of the modern credit card. The first offices of company were located in the Reynolds Arcade building in Rochester, New York. The sign above the main entrance to the building - Sibley, the founder of Western Union, did not build a new telegraph lines, and persuaded the other players to join. American Telegraph Company, however, still had to buy it.
