In 1920, Western Union has implemented the world's first transmission of images over the ocean. In 1935, Western Union has put into operation first intercity fax communication. In the 80's of Nineteenth century, Western Union was repeatedly tried capture by the railroad tycoon Jay Gould. He worked with Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the first phone. Before transition to remittances Western Union company rendered services on sphere of cable communication. Number of active holders of "Golden Card" of Western Union amounted to 9.5 million people worldwide.
