MoneyGram wired transfer implemented many changes to its technology platforms designed to prevent or detect suspicious transactions. In the city of San Salvador representatives of MoneyGram and Citibank announced a new regional project, which will provide money transfer services in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Commission income on remittances and other revenues of MoneyGram in the 2nd quarter 2012 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year and 13% in the base currency. MoneyGram completed the rollout of simplified pricing for money transfer services in the U.S., an initiative that began last year.
