International company MoneyGram has expanded its service capabilities of online money transfers to UK residents. MoneyGram wired transfer implemented many changes to its technology platforms designed to prevent or detect suspicious transactions. In the city of San Salvador representatives of MoneyGram and Citibank announced a new regional project, which will provide money transfer services in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. MoneyGram launched a new in-person bill payment service which will be delivered through agents in their domestic network, giving consumers an easy, low-cost method to pay their bills. MoneyGram point-of-sale systems are continually upgraded to provide the latest new products and functionality. In March 2012, the company MoneyGram merged with the network of U.S. payment centers ZipZap.
