Like any financial institution, credit unions have the financial resources. Taking a decision to join a credit union, citizens create an organization through which they participate in the shared savings by mutual crediting and joint (collective) use of personal savings. Credit Union - a non-profit financial institution specialized in mutual financial assistance by providing savings and credit services to their members. To increase the number of credit unions in 1979 was adopted the corresponding law that serves as the legal basis of their activity. Today, the World Council of Credit Unions is represented as members four regional confederations and twelve national associations.
