Credit union is created by a group of members who pursue a common interest. Agreeing to make regular contributions, they create a fund from which can borrow money for investments and replenishment of working capital at favorable interest rates. At the organization of the credit union it is important that people know each other and know the extent to which each of them is trustworthy. Share contributions are transferred to the credit union on the basis of membership for the whole stay of a shareholder as member of the credit union and are the basis of membership. Credit unions of the open type are still controlled by their members, but at the same time provide services to people who are not its members (external customers). The relationship between credit unions and shareholders arise from the membership and are not customer relationship. Credit union as a consumer cooperative operates on the principles of equality of all its members.
