Like the credit cooperatives, credit unions form associations of a higher level, which are called corporate credit unions. In the U.S. credit unions timely and full repayment of loans is a common phenomenon. Unpaid and delinquent loans are not more than 3% of their amount. When organizing the credit union it is important that people know each other and know the extent to which each of them is trustworthy. Share contributions are transferred to the credit union on the basis of membership for the whole stay of a shareholder as member of the credit union and are the basis of membership. Income derived from the provision of services to its members, does not become the profit of credit union and is distributed among its members in proportion to their savings. The relationship between credit unions and shareholders arise from the membership and are not customer relationship. The right to use the services of the credit union have only its members. Unlike banks credit unions limit their activities to a closed circle of people.
